Indosuez Wealth Management Appoints New Head of Asset Management for its Hong Kong Branch.
Ian koo joins Indosuez Wealth Management as head of branch asset management, according to a press release, reporting to Grizelda lee, responsible for Asia asset management, public procurement solutions.
In his new role, Koo will oversee the bank’s asset management activities in Hong Kong through the distribution, marketing and investor service of asset management-related products and offerings. He is also responsible for discretionary portfolio management activities as well as fund distribution and activities.
Koo has 15 years of experience advising tailor-made investment solutions and growing portfolios for high net worth clients in the region. He comes from Bank of New York Mellon (Hong Kong) where he was until recently responsible for portfolio management.
Medium size advantage
According to the general manager of the Hong Kong branch of Indosuez Olivier Livenais, the advantage of the French private bank as a medium-sized player allows it to gain in agility while being backed by a large financial group.
